Sandy Stevenson

My first encounter with the ocean was the New Jersey Shore.  I was seven.  Later when an art teacher told me to paint what I loved, I headed back to the shore, north to the rugged coast of Maine, and west to the Pacific and the magnificent Big Sur. Now as a Florida resident living on a barrier island, the ocean continues to delight and intrigue me with its energy, sound, and ever changing mood and color.
